In Masbate, the technical divers who went down to search for the two pilots were having a problem because of the strong sea current. The divers tried to make some knots so that the craft would be pulled by a vessel. They only stayed there for twenty minutes and have decided to go up. The body of Captain Jessup Bahinting has been retrieved from the ill-fated Piper Seneca plane that crashed in waters off Masbate last Saturday. Orson Bahinting told TV Patrol he recognized his brother through the watch and shirt he was wearing. Defense Secretary Voltaire Gazmin noted the body was wearing a Fossil watch and a blue shirt with stripes. The body was still strapped with a seatbelt at the right side of the plane. Gazmin, meanwhile, said its “back to zero” in the search for the last body, which of Nepalese pilot Kshitiz Chand. Senator Miriam Defensor Santiago could have uttered the same exact words that some could not, for fear of being ostracized amid the mourning for Interior and Local Government Secretary Jesse Robredo. She said there is no answer to that, except if one knows the mind of God. She said it will only be presumptuous for one to assume that death is God’s will. Santiago can only say that Robredo was a good and honest man. Santiago remembered that when she ran for president in 1992, Robredo invited her for dinner at his home.
